DAVID BRECHER | PRINCIPAL

Mr. Brecher is a co-Founder and Principal of FM Capital. Prior to co-founding FM Capital, Mr. Brecher founded the highly successful First Meridian Mortgage LLC (FMM) in 2002. FMM is a full service mortgage-banking firm. As the Chief Executive Officer of FM Home Loans, Mr. Brecher is in charge of the decision making for credit, underwriting, operations, and secondary marketing policies and procedures. Since its founding, FMM has originated well over $5 billion in debt. From 1991 through 2002, Mr. Brecher was an Executive Vice President at the residential mortgage banker Meridian Capital Funding Inc. He is a licensed mortgage banker in multiple states, including New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Maryland, Florida, and Washington D.C.

AARON KURLANSKY | PRINCIPAL, CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Mr. Kurlansky is a co-Founder, Principal, and the Chief Executive Officer of FM Capital. He has held the CEO position since FM Capital’s inception in 2007. He is responsible for portfolio decision making; overseeing the sourcing acquisition, management, and disposition of portfolio assets; and managing FM Capital’s commercial loan origination division. Currently, Mr. Kurlansky manages over $500 million in assets and throughout his career has handled the acquisition and disposition of more than $1 billion in assets. Mr. Kurlansky began his real estate career as a Property Manager at Crescent Heights of America in 2000. He joined First Meridian Mortgage in 2004 and became a Senior Vice President in 2009. Throughout his career, Aaron has originated well over $750 million dollars in residential and commercial loans. Mr. Kurlansky is a licensed mortgage loan originator in Florida and New York.

JOE SEPTIMUS | CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

As FM Capital’s Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Septimus is responsible for the firm’s accounting and financial operations. Prior to joining FM Capital, Mr. Septimus spent 25 years as the owner and manager of a business consulting practice that focused on growing companies. He specialized in identifying financial and operational inefficiencies and created and executed action plans to improve these companies. In addition, he previously served as a manager at Price Waterhouse. Mr. Septimus has a CPA and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs. He received his MBA from New York University Business School.

RUSSELL SALTZ | VICE PRESIDENT

As FM Capital’s Vice President, Mr. Saltz is responsible for overseeing all underwriting and investment modeling, portfolio management, business operations, and investor relations. His expertise resides with international finance, real estate finance, and financial policy. Prior to joining FM Capital, he served as a Project Director across several government contracts and as an Economic Analyst at the U.S. Department of Labor. Mr. Saltz received his MPA with Merit in Public and Economic Policy with a focus on finance and accounting from the London School of Economics and Political Science and his BS in Economics with Honors from the Pennsylvania State University.

ELI BOBKER | DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT, CHIEF LEGAL OFFICER

Eli Bobker is responsible for all legal activities relating to FM Capital’s business and operations. This includes all corporate and real estate matters. Prior to joining FM Capital, Mr. Bobker worked at the law firm Cadwalader, Wickersham, & Taft LLP for eight years as a member of CWT’s Financial Restructuring Group. He was involved in many complex corporate restructurings, representing an array of individuals including debtors, vendors, property owners, bondholders, and senior lenders. In addition, Mr. Bobker was responsible for advising large institutional investment and brokerage houses on deal structures and business practices. Mr. Bobker was also an Owner/Operator at the Bobker Group for seven years. While there, he was responsible for the development of several large-scale projects throughout New York City and State and actively managed a large multifamily real estate portfolio. Mr. Bobker received a Master’s Degree in finance from Johns Hopkins University and a Judicial Doctorate from Cardozo Law School where he served as a member of the Law Review.

JOSEPH FISHMAN | VICE PRESIDENT OF ACQUISITIONS

Mr. Fishman is a Vice President of Acquisitions with FM Capital and has been with FM Capital since 2010. He is responsible for identifying value-add and yield-driven investments for purchase and managing the acquisition and closeout processes. He does this for FM Capitals equity and debt investment strategies. In addition, Mr. Fishman originates commercial real estate loans for clients. Prior to joining FM Capital, he spent five years working in real estate management, primarily in the New York Tri-state area. Mr. Fishman previously was the founder and manager of a real estate services contracting firm that focused on creating and implementing solutions to improve the quality of multi-family properties. Mr. Fishman is a licensed real estate broker in the state of Florida.

JOSEPH BACK | VICE PRESIDENT OF ORIGINATIONS

Joseph Back is a Vice President of Originations at FM Capital. He is responsible for originating commercial real estate mortgages for clients. This includes hard money loans, bridge loans, and bank and agency loans. His previous experience includes years in the commercial lending industry. Prior to joining FM Capital, Mr. Back managed the ongoing operations of more than 1 million square feet of Class A office space in Illinois and Ohio.

YAEL ISHAKIS | VICE PRESIDENT OF ORIGINATIONS

Yael Ishakis is a Vice President of Originations with FM Capital. She is responsible for originating commercial real estate mortgages for clients. She began her career as a commercial mortgage broker in 2002 with Sterling Empire Funding where she concentrated on the New York metropolitan area. While there, she specialized in multifamily and commercial origination. Yael joined FM Capital in 2014 where she focuses on originating commercial and residential loans in the Southeast region. Throughout her career, she has originated more than half a billion in debt transactions.
